Growth is not overnight, it is gradual and purposeful.
Grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be
glory both now and forever. Amen

This scripture makes a statement that is powerful if we fully embrace it. To grow in grace means that we develop, grow and mature in the fruits of the Holy Spirit...love,
joy, peace, goodness, meekness, temperance, kindness, patience, and self-control. To
grow in our knowledge of Jesus Christ our Savior means we must spend time learning
of Him, His Word, His voice, His love for us and what He has given and provided for us
to live the life He has planned for us. That means Christ should be a vital part of our
everyday lives.
Growth is not overnight, it is gradual and purposeful. Growth is expanding, stretching, and splitting.
Growth can be uncomfortable, yet necessary to attain maturity. Each day,
be intentional about growing in your knowledge of the Word of God and developing and
nurturing the characteristics in you that are the essence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ.
Prayer
Father God I thank you for the plans you have for me. Your Word says they are plans to
plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me a hope and a future. Holy
Spirit set my agenda for today and guide me to complete all that you have set for me to
do. Show me the areas in my life that I need to work on to become who You created me
to be. I want to live a life pleasing to You, a life where I fulfill the Volume of the Book
You have written about me in the Heavenlies. Guide me in studying Your Word so that I
come to know You deeper, learn to hear you more clearly and be more like Christ Jesus
everyday.
